Had Miles Met Maurice features some of the music heard on NPR's All Things Considered profile of Peter Blanchette and the Virtual Consort. Listeners sent over 500 enthusiastic emails inquiring about these distinctive arrangements. The CD also includes the pieces played on live broadcast appearances of NPR's A Prairie Home Companion.

Elegant themes from Fellini's great films, impressionist, light-hearted trios of early music along with Spanish and Brazillian romances: this CD has a very soft and sophisticated sound. If it were a car it would be a Cadillac. Get in the back and get comfortable with The Virtual Consort! DORIAN recordings liscensed this CD, which Peter Blanchette originally released as Gymnopedie.
With Charlie Schneeweis, trumpet and Jean Chiane, bass.
